Please read these terms carefully before using Bakeculator. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Bakeculator is a web-based software application (accessible at app.bakeculator.com) that provides ingredient costing, product building, quoting, invoicing, and business reporting tools designed for home bakers and micro bakeries.
The service is operated independently. References to "we", "us", or "Bakeculator" in these terms refer to the operator of the Bakeculator service.
To use Bakeculator you must:
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@bakeculator.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
Bakeculator offers three service tiers:
Plan limits and features may change. We will give reasonable notice of material changes to paid plan features.
Baker and Business plans include a 14-day free trial. No payment is taken until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial without charge. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged the applicable monthly fee.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe — we do not see or store your card number.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled. You can cancel or change your plan at any time via Settings → Account → Manage subscription, which opens the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then.
All prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to change pricing. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before a price change takes effect. You may cancel before the new price applies.
You agree not to use Bakeculator to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Bakeculator — ingredients, products, customers, quotes, invoices, and all business data. We do not claim any ownership over your content.
You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
You are responsible for ensuring that any customer personal data you enter (names, email addresses, addresses) is done so lawfully — for example, that you have a legitimate basis under UK GDPR for storing that information.
Bakeculator provides tools to help you generate allergen information and product labels. However:
Bakeculator calculates suggested sell prices based on cost data you enter. These are suggestions only. We make no representation that any suggested price will be commercially viable, legally compliant, or appropriate for your market. Pricing decisions are your sole responsibility.
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may need to take the service offline for maintenance, upgrades, or in response to security incidents. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime where possible.
The Bakeculator brand, application design, interface, and underlying software are the intellectual property of Bakeculator's operator. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use the Bakeculator name, logo, or branding for any purpose other than as a user of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bakeculator is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the service is free from viruses or other harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bakeculator's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Bakeculator in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently and immediately deletes all your data.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if we believe your use creates legal risk, or if we cease to operate the service. We will give reasonable notice where possible, except where immediate termination is necessary for security or legal reasons.
On termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability clauses) will continue to apply.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email (if you have an account) at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
